The Polish Veteran (55+) Float Fishing Championship has come to an end. The competition was heated and the high temperatures didn’t make it any easier. The weather was especially rough on the last day of competition when the sun was scorching hot and the wind was not enough to bring any relief.
As usual the fish tended to come to the best participants. People caught mostly perch and bream. Most people chose shorter rods and rigs but more experienced competitors took up longer match rods.
After two days of competition Adam Kruk from Piotrków Trybunalski took the Championship title. Second place went to Bogusław Brud representing Boland Rzeszów and Jan Sadowski from Lublin OSW Rogóźno took home the bronze.
Congratulations to all the winners on their success and a big thank you to all participants who took on the challenge of fishing in these difficult conditions, stuck with it till the end and created the warm, friendly atmosphere. We hope everyone went home with fond memories of their time in the Lublin province.
It’s also important to mention the sponsors, who keep the sport going and make competitions like this one possible. Mikado provided generous prizes for the participants and awarded the winners with high-class bolognese and match rods as well as reels.
